Whether you are a new graduate nurse or a nurse in transition, we can empower you to become a transformational leader through an integrated, consistent structure for mentoring, nurse onboarding and professional development.
Outdoor adventure at your doorstep
A dream location, Anchorage combines endless adventure and spectacular mountain vistas with the luxuries of metropolitan living. From the Cook Inlet to the Chugach Mountains, residents enjoy the parks, trails and beautiful glaciers that shape the area.
As the largest hospital and level II trauma center in the state, Providence Alaska Medical Center features provides comprehensive care to all Alaskans.

Individualized teaching
Our program surrounds new nurses with a robust support structure. We tailor what we’re doing to make sure you get all the support you need for your individual learning needs.

Mentor support
Educators, preceptors and mentors who find joy in helping new nurses will work alongside you to help you learn how to provide patient care safely.

Hands-on learning
One of the most useful parts of the program is the Simulation Lab, where common scenarios that nurses will face are practiced in an area set up just like a patient room.
Focus on your education with the peace of mind knowing your career is waiting for you.

Relocation Assistance
We offer relocation assistance to ease your way to your new home and community when you are moving to Alaska from out of state. As a relocating caregiver, you’re assigned a personal Relocation Coach to guide you throughout the moving process.

"Providence was very supportive with relocation. I had no idea how to move from one side of the country to another, but it’s not something that you need to do by yourself, which is comforting."
